TRASH THE ASH

TRASH THE ASH

Who says being a quitter is a bad thing? I have been strong for far too long, can't keep the pace now. I have been carrying on ,driving down the same old roads, I am losing faith, starting to lose face. Seems it's the same every day, seems nothing ever changes. I have nothing left to lose, there is nothing left to gain. There isn't anything left to say. These pills only kill the pain for just so long, just one more line and I will be able to go on. I have run out of cigarettes to smoke, I am down to my last shot of whiskey. I know that if I keep up this lifestyle, it will kill me . Hold me close,do not let me go,I find myself becoming my own worst enemy.Hold me tight ,don't let my mind take flight .It is getting harder for me to breathe.I need a helping hand ,someone to save me from myself ,because I do...

END OF REIGN

END OF REIGN

End of Reign "Death is inevitable. A reign that is created, must fall apart." The body will decompose or fly. The phony sculptures and mighty architectures will not stand still. One day or the other, it will atomize into soil and sand. It'll worth nothing more than blowing dust. The power, we are fighting for, will fall. The dog tag of the religious illusions will melt. No culture, no belief, no faith will hold us together. Pseudo brotherhood will die in vain. The only fact of time-and-space is true. Evolution is just a word. Space between two-time periods is evolution. Cosmic energy that was travelling through space has given birth to this beautiful universe. From nothing all emerge. And after billions of years we took birth with no religion, no greed and no ego. The experience we gathered, the knowledge we shared and the space between us has given our identity. The starvation and security forced us together. Later, pleasure and power overrun our judgment....

My first love — Diary

My first love — Diary

Dear Diary, It's funny how I always write in you but never for you. And it's surprising how you never complain while I fill your pages with the nonsensical jumble of words. All that belong to my unshaped thoughts and claim to call it a "draft". No matter how much I revise a draft to make it perfect, the one inside you will always be it's purest form. Just like our bond. You know the secrets of my wild times and the rants of my sad nights, also the time when I fell, and the time when I rose high. You live in a shelf, hidden from the world but today I'll make sure you're known. Your flawless cover is now adorned with my name and the favorite fandoms but I know you are "you" at heart. And that's what makes me trust you with my poems and the plots. And honestly, if it weren't you with me everywhere I went, my thoughts would always stay a thought. So thank you...

Guardian Angels

Guardian Angels

I remember the time I was afraid to face the world. It was them who held me close, like a shield and we faced it together. I remember the time when I was afraid to tumble. It was them who held my hand & taught me to walk. I remember the time I felt like the water would drown me. It was them who held me in the deep waters and taught me to swim. I remember the time when I was afraid to meet new people at school. It was them who told me how important a friend is in our life. I remember the time when I was afraid my birthday gift wouldn't be good enough. It was them who saved for months and surprised me with the unexpected. I remember how sad I was when my first friend left me. It was them who gave me strength to endure the future. I remember how sad I was when I almost flunked a major year, It was them who provided me...

Send me a man.

Send me a man.

Send me a man. Before I lay me down to sleep, I pray for a man, who's not a creep, One who's handsome, smart and strong. Who loves to listen long, And think before he speaks, Send me a man who'll call and not wait for weeks. I pray he's gainfully employed, When I spend his cash, he won't be annoyed. Pulls out my chair and opens my door, Massages my back and begs to do more. Oh! Send me a man who'll make love to my mind, Knows what to answer when I ask "How big is my behind?" I pray that this man will love me to no end, And always be my very best friend. ©The Honest Fabler – Pooja Mukherjee ©Image Source – Wallpaperswide.com...

The Imperfect Mystery — Me

The Imperfect Mystery — Me

A little piece to the Imperfect Mystery of my life. He was a mystery, or maybe he just wanted to be one. In the world full of chimeric perfection, he was nowhere. He was flawed, so flawed that he’d be hanged if imperfection was a felony. Of course, he wasn’t that lucky. Growing up as a mediocre and being reminded about it every morning in the hallways of his school, he knew he didn’t belong there. Amidst the fake smiles, fake promises and real envy. All he wished for, back then, was an escape. An escape from the misery, from the embarrassment of being himself and from the very own reality he lived in. Nevertheless, there was one thing he liked about being the way he was— his subconscious. The part of his intellect that showed to him the sacred and the happy worlds of imagination. A world where he was perfect. Perfect not because he had perfectly aligned teeth and a fashionable dressing sense but because...

Illuminating darkness.

Darkness Robert's mind wandered around his deadline, even while he rested his head on the glass window. He had to complete a week's work in just one night. And the train was an hour away from home. If he had a list of things he hated, it'll only be 4 words long.  Rescheduled Deadlines. Late trains. "Dear, what's the next station?" The woman next to him gave a mild shock. It wasn't everyday that the commuters talked to each other and she didn't seem like a daily commuter, either. Robert had a look outside the glass pane and turned to her, "Wolfshire. Where do you have to get down?" "Wolfshire." She smiled sheepishly and fetched dark glasses from her purse and placed them neatly over her nose. "Guess I should get going." She stood up but the train's jerk pushed her back down. "What happened?" Her expressions confused, just like Robert's. "Think the train doesn't want you to go, just yet." He...

Love Spreads Smiles

Love Spreads Smiles

One for the thing that spreads Smiles. The time I wished on a falling star, I found you in my life. From that time, you are the reason I believe in love, in myself, And the world. Now that you are my love, I feel overwhelmed By the moments that we share. Moments of Life, of Joy, And of walking hand in hand in light & dark. It happens to be a secret. Meeting you was not an accident but a purpose. Purpose to continue the untold story, to travel the journey of fantasy, And to be together forever. When you make love to me, everything seems right. Taking my hand and guiding us through the night. You reach out, take my fears and throw them in the past, You penetrate my soul with hopes to make it last. When you stand with me, never shall I be afraid. My core you've touched, my sanity you've saved. But if you feel you can't be strong in all my times of need, You've given me the strength, somehow I'll take the lead. Never understanding, accepting what time may...

The Secret Sister of Awan Alee – Part VI

The Secret Sister of Awan Alee – Part VI

Complete parts: Author’s Note (Password: sister) I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX 11 January 2017 Dear Scarlett, Punim hangs out with us! Hey di, we’re sort of a group now. Azure, Naveen, Punim, her friend Snehlata and myself. Since we all stay in hostel, it makes sense to hang out together. Punim is such a sweetheart! I find myself liking her more and more every day. She’s so slender yet so strong. She has a freaky black belt! Yesterday after dinner, she joined me on my night walk. We went to the cross section where the highways meet, and oh, I just couldn’t stop talking. We’ve so much in common, too! Even her hometown is under the threat of war. The vintage Indo-Pak war for including Kashmir in their reign. *sighs* When will these high powers learn that war means destruction of both the sides participating in it? Or do they simply deny the truth? The working of the world is such complicated! I wish there was a cheat code to understand...
