“Come on, Bruno! Let’s go for a
walk.” The little girl called out
for her pet dog, but there was no response.
That afternoon watching her daddy dig
a grave for her 8 year old love was the
most heartbreaking moment of her life.

Oh Lord, the heartache this induced! Beautiful imagery your words evoked
Nice π
Thank you π
As someone who experienced this as a child, this was heartbreaking and moving. I like your work, great job.
Oh my, I can only imagine the pain. Hope your bestfriend is in peace now :’)
Thank you!
The hardest part is getting a new best friend and then going through it again. My current dog is 12 and slowly fading, but to me the companionship, humor, and sheer joy of having a dog outweighs it out all.
I hope you cherish every moment and it lasts forever. What’s their names?
I have had three dogs Loki a lab/chow and Zoe an Australian Shepard who are both in doggy heaven, and then I have Dingo a Whippet/German Shepard mutt. I’ll have to write a blog about them one day with pictures. π
That’s cute! I’ll look out for that post. π
Oh π
Ahh! These few lines made me so emotional, because I know my dogs won’t be here forever:(. You’re writing is great!
What I loved about this was that it gave me no warning, and no time to lead up to the sadness – it just all hit me at once. You’ve left me very sad, but it was beautifully done.
Don’t be sorry, that was the beauty of it! And I know the feeling haha, feel free to check out some of my poems as well π
Yess, I surely will! In fact I’m already reading some ^-^
