Our FOREVER

Our FOREVER

Our hearts were as pure as gold, I remember we were only 16 years old. We thought our love was our world, Little did we know that we could see just a fold. Holding each other is how we stood, Facing the obstacles as best as we could. Making stories I stayed awake at night, While you perfected the art of stroking the brush right. We were so innocent, I remember, Praising the tiniest milestones we'd conquer. We went through days bright and dark, Keeping the promise of completing the journey that we've embarked. Oh, my Queen, you've made me the King. I avow to you that your name would be written on my ring. I might lose battles at times, But I know you'll always give me the right guidelines. Shout for me from the heart whenever, I'll always come to you cause I'm yours, FOREVER. ©The Honest Fabler ©Cover credits- A greatly talented photographer friend of mine! What is Life?

What is Life?

Life is a flower that embellishes our bag of bones, it is the water that lubricates our throats, it is a fish-- one that goes to the deepest seas but kissing the sky is its only wish, moreover it is our mother earth, the mother from whose womb we take birth. A huge thanks to thegirlonthego8 for the amazing muse! If you guys have a thought about life and can express it in a sentence(unlike me, since I've passed the barrier of a sentence) then be sure to check out her BLOGOQUENT Competition and participate in it! Also, don't forget to explore her diversity rich blogosphere ;) ©The Honest Fabler ©Cover Credits- Google Images...

The Cure.

The Cure.

From beginning of time I'm walking a journey too long. It was I, who fixed my belongings that were wrong. Never had anything fed by a silver spoon, Perseverance has been my greatest boon. I walk a straight path, neither a right nor a left. This is the rhythm that I've always kept. Initially I struggled but now I sign pay cheques, It's a story full of glory. My path to the apex. Cars, planes villas are all I got, But my heart aches for something I have not. When I started the journey I didn't know, That the apex can't be shared with friends, family or the unknown. In the empire of my solitude I live, Where to even fall asleep I need a sedative. What is it about the human touch? I've been starving for an epoch and I need it very much. Is it too late for me to start again? To take a turn from my straight path, To make a memory I'll reminisce whenever I bath. Is it too late to live the life...

Today I bleed, again.

Today I bleed, again.

I know I've been hurt before. Running after ma, as a toddler, and bruising my knees against the solid ground. Or fighting dada over the smallest things, but he showed he cares when my tooth fell off. It didn't always hurt to bleed, though. Like when I donated blood on turning 18! I still have the yellow smiley brooch they gave me. Numerous times I've cut my poor finger. I had a tough time to learn cooking, Daddy's princess turned a queen, you see. The best of all? It was when I bled to give birth. It seemed like aeons lying on the table, pushing harder by the minute. But oh, her little cry still rings in my mind like a sweet jingle. Every time it was worth the pain. What about now, you wonder? Now when I bleed, it isn't blood that transpires. It's my emotions. Emblazoned in bold on my wrinkled skin. They shine at the brightest now, after being concealed for so many years. They are forgiving, I must say, for I've let them out for my own selfish...

A mother’s lullaby.

A mother’s lullaby.

You've been the greatest gift of mine, Held you close to me for months nine. Your skin is so soft it makes me tickle, I'll take such care, nothing would cause you prickle. In daytime you play around with your dad, At night you cry but, I promise, I won't ever be mad. The first time when I saw your sweetest smile, I knew, to make you happy, I'd even walk a mile. You're my morning sunshine, sugar, You're my apple pie. And I vow, I'll love you till the day I die. ©The Honest Fabler ©Cover credits- Google Images...

Unsaid goodbyes.

Unsaid goodbyes.

As a person who's fond of pets(fishes, in my case), losing even one seems saddening enough. I've took care of fishes since last 4 years. Currently I have 4 gold fishes(two of which are 3 years old and the other two a couple of years old.) and 2 freshwater sharks(both 3 years old.). Prior to this I've had the good fate of taking care of many other fishes but these are the ones who've stayed. The most recent ones are Herbie and Azure, both are Betta fishes. They've been closest to me since they were a birthday gift from a person very close to me. But last night when I returned home I realized, Azure has stepped in the afterlife. I hope his soul finds a solace and rests in peace. You arrived on the day I turned old. In the bright sunlight you gleamed so bold, I adored you every morning as if you were gold. The wings you had were...

Jack & Jill(Sensual)

Jack & Jill(Sensual)

When the journey started I wasn't sober, but I still reminisce everything over & over. [¹] I met ten step-brothers, Each wore a bony hat crafted by their mothers. [²] I climbed a tiny hill, Looking around to find my Jill. [³] The smooth bridge that followed wasn't stable, But my Jill awaited me so it had to be worth the trouble. [⁴] As I continued the ground turned wet, "Softer & warmer is my Jill, I bet." [⁵]  Next was a desert with a single well, With my every move it vibrated like a bell. [⁶] Now, I could see the two domes of a temple. My destination was close & I witnessed the hurdles crumple. [⁷] The final slender wall was high, Stopping wasn't an option cause I had no time to cry. [⁸] When my lips met hers, she knew I'm back. Never going to leave her, cause I'm her Jack. Anatomical Metaphors: The first stanza- Refers to the ten toes of the lover. The second stanza- Refers to the medial malleolus.(Ankle for non-biology speakers, like me.👻) The third stanza- Refers to the lower...

What if this were a poem?

What if this were a poem?

What if I were a bird? I'd wander free from the earth's pull. Even rest on the back of a bull. What if I were a bull? I'd graze all day on the fresh grass, But give the warrior ants a way to pass. What if I were an ant? I'd live in peaceful colonies of my kin, Feeding on the marvellous deer's dead skin. What if I were a deer? Beautiful- is what I would be called. I'd be so quick that a lion chasing me would turn bald. What if I were a lion? The king of the jungle and ruler of all. I'd be so powerful that the elephant's might would fall. What if I were an elephant? The biggest and toughest is what I'd be, A man would pay to even get a glimpse of me. But oh, I'm only a poet. One who searches for a muse even when quiet. My imagination is what makes me high. Wings aren't something I need to fly. Hold my hand and step on board, We'll be anything our mind wants to...
