A mother’s lullaby.

A mother’s lullaby.

You've been the greatest gift of mine, Held you close to me for months nine. Your skin is so soft it makes me tickle, I'll take such care, nothing would cause you prickle. In daytime you play around with your dad, At night you cry but, I promise, I won't ever be mad. The first time when I saw your sweetest smile, I knew, to make you happy, I'd even walk a mile. You're my morning sunshine, sugar, You're my apple pie. And I vow, I'll love you till the day I die. ©The Honest Fabler ©Cover credits- Google Images...

Unsaid goodbyes.

Unsaid goodbyes.

As a person who's fond of pets(fishes, in my case), losing even one seems saddening enough. I've took care of fishes since last 4 years. Currently I have 4 gold fishes(two of which are 3 years old and the other two a couple of years old.) and 2 freshwater sharks(both 3 years old.). Prior to this I've had the good fate of taking care of many other fishes but these are the ones who've stayed. The most recent ones are Herbie and Azure, both are Betta fishes. They've been closest to me since they were a birthday gift from a person very close to me. But last night when I returned home I realized, Azure has stepped in the afterlife. I hope his soul finds a solace and rests in peace. You arrived on the day I turned old. In the bright sunlight you gleamed so bold, I adored you every morning as if you were gold. The wings you had were...

Jack & Jill(Sensual)

Jack & Jill(Sensual)

When the journey started I wasn't sober, but I still reminisce everything over & over. [¹] I met ten step-brothers, Each wore a bony hat crafted by their mothers. [²] I climbed a tiny hill, Looking around to find my Jill. [³] The smooth bridge that followed wasn't stable, But my Jill awaited me so it had to be worth the trouble. [⁴] As I continued the ground turned wet, "Softer & warmer is my Jill, I bet." [⁵]  Next was a desert with a single well, With my every move it vibrated like a bell. [⁶] Now, I could see the two domes of a temple. My destination was close & I witnessed the hurdles crumple. [⁷] The final slender wall was high, Stopping wasn't an option cause I had no time to cry. [⁸] When my lips met hers, she knew I'm back. Never going to leave her, cause I'm her Jack. Anatomical Metaphors: The first stanza- Refers to the ten toes of the lover. The second stanza- Refers to the medial malleolus.(Ankle for non-biology speakers, like me.👻) The third stanza- Refers to the lower...

“Just married.”

“Just married.”

"Should we call the doctor?" Albert, hidden behind the crowd asked. "Out, you naïve kids! Only the elders will wait." Uncle Boban started blocking the vision of the unwanted spectators in the back, heading them out of the room. There came a point when only I was the one present from the fourth generation of the Williams. "Oh come on! I'm going to turn an adult in all sense, now. Let me stay." "Of course, Lilly darling. But there are stuff you need time to handle and learn. Let us have some space, please." Aunt Donna, the sweetest aunt, winked at me and escorted me out of the room but didn't quite close the door completely. My fellow cousins stared at me with a blank face and I gestured them to peep. In the room inside, my parents along with Uncle Boban & aunt Donna (Albert's parents), Aunt Katie (Moira and Rodney's mum) and Mr. & Mrs. Taylor (Rupert, Emily and Sydney's parents) were...

To her, with love.

To her, with love.

How I wonder you were a stranger once, Just another pretty face amidst the rush. But then you became my rumination, To defend me from the demons in my mind. You turned into an ally, And stepped in my fight against the world. Who knew an imagination of sorts could be my macrocosm. Who knew you'd ever be real, real enough that I'd make you my muse. Your soul is mine and mine is yours, The body never matters cause you're my thought.  ©The Honest Fabler ©Cover credits- Google Images...

Purging the past.

Purging the past.

'Come on, Hugo! Can't you swim faster?' I scream over the resting waves splashing on my face. 'I've had supper—an hour ago, Allaire.' He manages to speak spilling water out of his mouth. 'We're almost there.' I state & continue swimming. A little lackadaisically, though, as it has turned quite dark since we've reached within the mountain's shadow. Finally getting out of the river, he collapses on a rock covered with weeds. I still can't believe this is happening for real. 'Are you okay?' I kneel next to his shivering body and start rubbing his palms. 'I'm glad you told me that we're going to leave our boat on its own before jumping off in the water. Oh wait, you didn't tell me, did you?' I laugh and take his sarcasm as a sign of being normal. 'Up on your feet, my love.' Dusting off the weeds from his jeans he stands and looks around. Finally, someone other than me has seen it. My wonderland.  'What is this...

Ruminate joy in your heart, cause you’re worth it.

Ruminate joy in your heart, cause you’re worth it.

"You're a liar, you never loved me." She shrieked at me, holding back a nervous breakdown.                          "No. I cared for you more than anybody else, but you never saw it. You lived in your own utopia going around disrespecting my efforts to show you I cared, to show you how much I loved you, and how much you meant to me. You were never concerned if I loved you, until I stopped loving you. Don't you see? You've hurted me time and again, but now, I can't lose the last bits of self respect I've left with me.If you feel I didn't love you, then so be it. But you should know that you were everything to me and still are, but I am afterall a human with a heart and bones. There's only so much I can take. Good bye." But it was only a nightmare....
