Dear Scarlett,
Punim and I have a pet of our own!

Hey big sister, this year I gifted Punim something she wanted since a long time. That is a goldfish! Once while we talked about pets, I remember she mentioned how beautiful she thought fishes are. She went on describing their minuscule features with the most excited expression I had ever seen and that was it. I decided back then that I’ll give her a fish.

As expected she loved it! My semester exams are over and I’ve been enjoying life ever since the day! Dad sent me a brand new Mac Air Book just today! It’s been a challenge for me to keep it aside and to write you a letter! XD I miss you, di. See ya soon.

31 May 2019

Dear Scarlett,
My third year is over, OH MY GOSH! I cannot believe it. It’s been 3 years that I’ve been living in the same room with the same 2 people and loving the same girl! I had some great academic satisfaction this year, I feel like a computer wizard already.

We got a project from Microsoft itself, to create a software. Actually, it is a competition between teams in our college and the best app maker team will be given direct jobs in Microsoft after completing our last year.

Luckily, we’ve one whole year to think of something good. Wish me luck!  See ya soon.

21 December 2019

Dear Scarlett,
Don’t just travel on your ride, live with your ride!

That is going to be our catchphrase to our app. We’re almost done with main features and programming. The application we’ve made is something that is in all ways beneficial to a bike or a car driver who has to take long trips often or even rarely.

The application can show the person using it the specs of their bike and real-time status of the condition of their tires. While riding the bike it would show them their speed and the angle at which they make the bike lean with respect to the ground and also record the rides from place A to B. I hope it turns out good since I haven’t told about this project to neither of our parents.

I don’t want to disappoint them if I get rejected. And this brings me to the worst decision that I’ve to make. Should I propose Punim or should I let everything be as it is. I never realized I will have to face such a day, but this is our last year together and I don’t know if I will ever be able to meet her again. I don’t want to lose her. Ugh! No, no, that is wrong. Proposing her to be my girlfriend only because we won’t meet again is not a good condition for a relationship.

I hope time makes me realize what is right and wrong!  Wish me luck. See ya soon, take care!

My first love — Diary

Dear Diary,

It’s funny how I always write in you but never for you.
And it’s surprising how you never complain while I fill your pages with the nonsensical jumble of words. All that belong to my unshaped thoughts and claim to call it a “draft”.
No matter how much I revise a draft to make it perfect, the one inside you will always be it’s purest form. Just like our bond.

You know the secrets of my wild times and the rants of my sad nights, also the time when I fell, and the time when I rose high.
You live in a shelf, hidden from the world but today I’ll make sure you’re known.

Your flawless cover is now adorned with my name and the favorite fandoms but I know you are “you” at heart.
And that’s what makes me trust you with my poems and the plots.
And honestly, if it weren’t you with me everywhere I went, my thoughts would always stay a thought.

So thank you for being you and bearing my pen strokes and tears. You’ve made me what I am.

Truly Yours,
A Writer.

Superdad – Hero without cape!

A day for our favorite superhero,
Our first love.
A day to celebrate, to cherish, to tell them how lucky we are to have them.
But why do it only once?
Today, I’ve an answer.
It’s like the way we wait for Christmas, like the happiness they receive on hold us in their hands after waiting for 9 months.
It’s a festival for every Superdad.
For us show our pride & for them, to be flaunted.
A very happy Father’s Day to every mentor.❤️

The Plea of Love – (Father’s Day Special)

A Plea of Love

One day a teardrop will fall from the sky.
And on that day, out of joy, I will cry.

Within my arms I’ll hold you tight,
And as you open your eyes to me you’ll know everything will be alright.

One day I will plant my seed,
And watch you grow into this love that I need.

I’ll come home from work and put your little palm in mine,
We’ll go for walks, talk & enjoy life, and forget about time.

Hold your little fingers in my massive hand,
I’ll teach you the ways of life so that you’ll understand.

When you’re sick and I’ve got sleepless nights,
It’ll be such a gorgeous sight to see you sleep in the middle of the night.

When we come home from our walks in the park,
And your mom’s complaining about her stretch marks
We’ll smother her with hugs and kisses and say,—
“You’re still beautiful, so beautiful tonight.
So give me your hand and enjoy the night.”

Your love from me is worth more than gold,
And it will continue to grow as you get old.

Like the cats in the cradle and the silver spoon,
we’ll stay out together and watch the moon.

Tuck you in before you go to bed,
Butterfly kisses upon your forehead.

Never miss a dance recital or minor league game,
And even if I did I’d love you all the same.

So put your little palm in mine and come walk with me.
My happiness, you’ll sure see.

I know how much you’ll want to celebrate,
The day after you finally graduate.

I’ll provide the alcohol but only before eight,
And as long as friends be sure to designate.

And if your prom doesn’t go as planned,
Put your little palm in my hand.
I’ll lock away my heart and give you the key,
As long as you save the last dance for me.

So put your little palm in the center of my hand,
And one day, your father, you’ll understand.

You’ll move out of my home,
And have kids of your own.

And all the things I will have done you’ll understand,
One day when you kids put their little palms in the center of your hand.

Take Flight

Take flight

This is for all the artists out there..the ones who had so many things in their head to recreate on a paper with something as simple as a pencil and colours of any kind..who were waiting to get better and better so that they could show the world exactly what they wanted. The waiting is over. Pick up that medium and just start creating without holding back. You were born to do this. The art is not just in your skills it’s in YOU. No one can compare to that. Let the lines be wobbly and let those colours out of those crooked borders. Just keep creating no matter what. No block or nothing can stop you. It’s you who’s waiting. Waiting to feel inspired and motivated enough. Waiting to feel confident. But that just begins in this exact moment when you decide it has started to flow through you. Let it go. For real. No force is big enough to come between you and your imagination. No force can take that away from you. You are enough. You are powerful enough to impact the world. Even after you are gone. I know. No one cares about your art now when you are alive. I know how it feels to see people praising dead artists and ignoring the live ones. That’s just cuz I’m one of you. But you know what? We matter. Our art matters. Without our art this place would stay bare and colourless and lifeless. We put the colours and life in this world. Keep doing it. Stop doubting yourself. Do it now. Go.

P.s. The title is a song which was muse for me when I wrote this. This is how that music makes me feel.

500+ Fablers

When I started The Honest Fabler, I had it in mind that no one has the time to read my thoughts and imaginations, nor would anyone be interested even if they have time.

But that’s the story of 2 months ago.

Week after week with the increasing number of achieved milestones I’ve been in debt of my fellow bloggers and readers, but today– but today!!!!!– we’ve reached 500+ followers.

I thought that this “Thank you” post would be better than last. But boy, I was so wrong. I’m spellbound and everything one becomes when they can’t speak without shaking.

With an open heart I want to tell you all how amazing you’ve been as readers and also great friends. Without you guys I might had still been writing poems at the last pages of my journal and imagined of universes that would only be a dream.

For whatever I ever achieve as the Fabler all credit goes to you.❤️ Best wishes.

Peace out.

A farewell to 2016.

Dear Santa,

Surprised I’m writing to you, now? After not writing to you last year, like everytime? To be honest, last Christmas my brother told me that you’re a figment of imagination, created to make children like me happier. I don’t feel bad for the lies honestly, nothing’s your fault. But I do have a list of complaints against you.
Last year was too much to take in. Overwhelmed with sadness, hurt and a little pinch of happiness! I hate you for taking away the people who I admired and all the dark days whole world witnessed. But I’m grateful, too, cause these events brought the whole world together. It united the farthest corners of the world and gave a common cause to each of us. To value our fellow humans.

David Bowie’s ‘Lazarus’ was the first song my brother made me listen to and I instantly fell in love with it. He passed away only after 2 days of his 69th birthday. It sucked so much to read the news on a bright morning.

Look up here, I’m in heaven

I’ve got scars that can’t be seen

I’ve got drama, can’t be stolen

Everybody knows me now.

-“Lazarus”, released 17 December 2015.

Alan Rickman, (I’m a Potterhead who’s read every Harry Potter book there’s ever been. Thanks to my brother, to lend me those from his collection.) the great actor potrayed Severus Snape so exquisitely, it was impossible to not respect his skills and love the man himself. I just started to get over David Bowie’s loss but then lost him, too.
The terrorist attacks of Tripoli, Libya where ISIS killed 300 West African migrants and the 8 martyrs who lost their life the Pathankot’s gunfight were deeply saddening.

The following months weren’t very happy for me. We came to a new city as daddy got a new job. Making new friends and leaving behind my 11 year old best friends wasn’t easy for me. Mommy had to sing me lullabies for a week to make sleep peacefully!

Muhammad Ali’s loss was another bad news in the mid-2016 but the year didn’t seem to take it easy at all as there was a mass shooting in a club of Orlando. The next day I saw people wearing rainbow flags, daddy told me it’s to support the victims, which felt good. Spider-Man has joined Avengers in the movies! Also there was an 8th Harry Potter book! And I knew that’s a wish you completed for me. It was then I thought the year isn’t completely hopeless, is it?

I got my first skateboard as a birthday gift. I fell a lot of times but daddy said that’s how we learn. So I didn’t stop learning. A week later, my favorite football team won their first huge international title. I was so happy and to add to it, my bossy brother supported the other team. When the new academic year started, it became easier to make friends. I still missed my old friends, but I kind of like my new friends, too. Especially Carlos.

This reminds me, why I’m writing to you. Carlos. He’s an orphan and now lives at a Foster’s home. We became bestfriends within the starting weeks, itself. He always likes to say funny things. Everyone likes him. On last day of school before holidays started, I told him that you aren’t real and he started laughing. I felt embarrassed and when I confessed of feeling so, he said, “That was rude, I’m sorry. I realized Santa isn’t real after my parents’ demise. Since then I never received gifts left under the Christmas tree by Santa, cause he was never the one to gift me, my parents were.” And then he smiled, a queer warm smile. One that radiated such happiness, that I had tears of joy.

I invited him over on Christmas eve and we had lots of fun. So, Santa I just want you to take away the blame for whatever hardships everyone faced and also to take the credits of the happy moments in our lives. And though now I know you don’t exist, I do know why you should.

Thank you, Santa.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.💫
