To her, with love.

How I wonder you were a stranger once,
Just another pretty face amidst the rush.
But then you became my rumination,
To defend me from the demons in my mind.
You turned into an ally,
And stepped in my fight against the world.
Who knew an imagination of sorts could be my macrocosm.
Who knew you’d ever be real, real enough that I’d make you my muse.
Your soul is mine and mine is yours,
The body never matters cause you’re my thought.

Here’s a link to my latest post –

      1. My challenge is diversity in books..whats a cult classic?? Are those older type literature books like catcher in the rye?? I tend to stick to the drama section in fiction along with a bit of fantasy but nothing to broad..ive only read two historical fictions in my lifetime and am picky…moreso that sarah dessen type reader the girl falls in love deeda, dad diagnosed with blahh blah, girl get prego:(( pretty same:/ i try to pick up different type books ,only works temporarily until i a bee chickflick comes out:))

        1. Cult classic are books that leave a huge mark on the readers, especially a huge audience. Gone with the wind, have you heard about it? It’s a cult classic. And it doesn’t need to be historical, there are many cult classics in our 21st century too. The Perks of Being A Wallflower, is among them. I try manyy different authors, thus the wide vocab!

          1. O my i started gone with the wind when i was in 5th grade never forget the name though i never finished it i could tell you the plot of the first chapter it was so good:))

          2. Yes it is indee, and one of my favorites, too. To get the most of a book don’t keep it down unless you’re done. I’ve had to complete many “No-good-at-all” books, too due to this rule of mine. But it’s a good habit.

          3. Yea ive been reading half of many novels and returning it to its home the library a lot this year mainly because of school work and stress but i feel that with time management this year and a little more faith I can accomplish them

  3. Your potrayal of words enlightens me but am more fascinated with the prose part…waiting to savor more…and yes ,do give me some suggestions please since am completely new here and tips from a good writer is always beneficial.

    1. Thanks a lot for that! I’m just so glad :’) talking about tips, well, related to the functioning of WordPress you’ll learn from using it more & for writing, um.. (I’m not sure if I’m qualified enough for that :P) from what I know about writing poems, is jotting down only the lines that best explain something since it has to be short and sweet unlike stories. Also, i like to rhyme words or at least keep a flow of things which gives a good touch to the poems. Anything else? Happy to help! 🙂

  4. I liked the line, “To defend me from the demons in my mind”. I wonder why you wrote “You turned into an ally”. The person was never against you, But then again, it could be because you mentioned that she was “Just another pretty face amidst the rush.”

    1. Haha, glad you figured it yourself. When I wrote, you turned into an ally it was because(you know it) “she was just another pretty face amidst the rush.” Thank you for reading it and your valuable feeback, too. Hope you have a great day :’)
